I’m a versatile tattoo artist specialising in American Traditional, which is the style most people know me for online. It comes naturally to me and forms the core of my work. Alongside this, I also tattoo a wide range of classic, culturally rooted styles including Japanese, Tribal, and Fine Line Black and Grey, all of which reflect the rich traditions and history of global tattooing.
I come from a strong street shop tattooing background, which means I have the technical foundation and adaptability to tattoo almost anything confidently and cleanly. I also offer realism tattoos, with examples available on my Instagram: @mitchbng.
Whether you’re after bold American Traditional, timeless Japanese imagery, clean fine line work or custom realism, I can design and tattoo a piece that suits your vision and holds up over time.

The best way to book a tattoo or make an enquiry with Mitch Oscar Tattoo is through the submission form on my website. This gives me all the details I need to understand your idea, placement and availability so I can get back to you quickly with the right information.
You can also reach out via Instagram DM, however the submission form is the most reliable way to secure a spot and ensure your enquiry doesn’t get missed.

Yes — I’m happy to tattoo your own design as long as it is tattooable, readable, and will age well in the skin. If your artwork needs adjustments to make it hold up long-term, I’ll let you know and offer professional recommendations or alternative options to ensure the tattoo heals clean and stays strong over time.
-
Yes — I’m always open to custom tattoo ideas, and this is often where tattooing becomes the most exciting. I enjoy taking on new concepts and turning them into strong, timeless designs that fit your vision and my artistic approach.
If you’re wanting a custom piece, please specify whether you want it drawn in my style. If you don’t mention otherwise, I’ll assume you’re looking for a design created in my signature style and artistic direction.
-
No — I don’t send tattoo designs before the booking. I work with a high volume of clients, and constant back-and-forth outside studio hours simply isn’t sustainable. Tattooing already requires a significant amount of unpaid drawing and preparation time, so designs are usually finalised on the day of your appointment, when we can review everything together in person.
The only exception is for large-scale projects (such as sleeves, back pieces or major custom work) where a crucial design element needs to be discussed beforehand. In those cases, I may share a draft to confirm the overall direction before your session.

The shop minimum is $200, and pricing goes up from there depending on the size, detail, placement and style of the tattoo. Because every tattoo is unique, I prefer to give individual quotes so the price accurately reflects your specific idea and requirements.
If you’d like a personalised quote or access to my general pricing guide, please get in touch through the booking form or send me a message via Instagram DM. Sharing a clear description — or even better, reference images — will help me give you the most accurate estimate.

No — I don’t price match. I charge what I charge based on the quality of my work, my experience, and the standards I hold myself to. If my quote isn’t within your budget, I completely understand and respect your decision to explore other options.
I’ve been tattooing professionally since 2018, and I believe my pricing is fair to both my clients and myself. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside and learn from highly experienced tattoo artists across Australia and internationally, many of whom carry strong global reputations. The knowledge, discipline and technical standards shared with me have been deeply integrated into my work.
Behind every tattoo is countless hours of drawing, repetition and refinement — often outside paid studio time. I’ve drawn the same designs thousands of times to perfect balance, flow and longevity in the skin. I use high-quality powder pigments so colours heal brighter and blacks remain rich over time, and medical-grade, sterilised needles manufactured to a 99.5% consistency rate, ensuring every tattoo meets the same level of precision and carries my signature style from one client to the next.
When you book with me, you’re paying for experience, consistency, quality materials, and tattoos designed to last — not just the time spent in the chair.

I’ve been tattooing professionally since March 2018. I started my career in Cronulla, in Sydney’s south, working primarily as a walk-in and realism tattoo artist. This foundation gave me strong technical skills and the ability to work confidently across a wide range of tattoo styles and subject matter.
Since 2020, my focus has been heavily on traditional tattooing, particularly American Traditional, while continuing to apply the technical discipline and experience gained from my early years. This combination allows me to create tattoos that are both visually strong and built to last in the skin.
-
No — while I’m based in Sydney, I’ve spent significant time travelling and tattooing around the world, doing guest spots in a wide range of studios across Australia, Europe, Asia and South America. These experiences have allowed me to work alongside incredibly talented and internationally recognised artists, many of whom continue to inspire my approach to tattooing today.
This exposure to different cultures, studios and artistic traditions has shaped my style, strengthened my technical skills, and broadened the way I design and execute tattoos. I bring all of that global experience back into my work here in Sydney, NSW.

Yes. All tattoos are performed using strict, professional sterilisation and hygiene standards to ensure a safe and clean tattooing environment.
All needles are single-use only, opened fresh for your appointment and disposed of immediately after your tattoo. Any ink used is poured into one-time-use ink caps, which are discarded at the end of every session. No ink, needles or disposable materials are ever reused.
Reusable studio equipment such as wash bottles, armrests, tattoo beds, machines and clip cords are thoroughly cleaned between every client. All surfaces are disinfected using Viraclean - a hospital grade disinfectant, then fully re-dressed with fresh plastic barriers and protective coverings before each tattoo.
The only reusable items involved in the tattoo process are tubes/grips, and these undergo a full medical-grade sterilisation procedure:
Hand-scrubbed in a designated cleaning area
Cleaned in an ultrasonic bath to remove microscopic residue
Sterilised in a certified autoclave, using pressurised heat — the same method used in hospitals and dental clinics
This process ensures all reusable equipment is completely sterile and safe for reuse.
Hygiene is taken seriously and all procedures meet or exceed Australian health and safety regulations, giving clients peace of mind and a professional tattoo experience from start to finish.

Yes — free touch-ups are available on most tattoos, as long as it’s within a reasonable time frame. If your tattoo needs a small refinement or a quick fix during the initial healing period, I’m happy to do that for you at no extra cost within the first 6 months after your appointment.
After that period, tattoos naturally age, settle and fade over time. If you return years later, or the tattoo needs significant reworking due to ageing or lifestyle factors, a standard touch-up fee will apply.
Please note:
Finger tattoos are never touched up for free.
Due to the nature of the skin on fingers — constant movement, friction, washing and exposure — they fade quickly and inconsistently. All finger touch-ups are charged starting from the shop minimum, regardless of the timeframe. If you’re unsure whether your tattoo qualifies for a free touch-up, feel free to send a clear photo via the booking link or Instagram, and I’ll let you know exactly what’s needed and what it will cost.
